Portside Dumpling Bar – Authentic, Flavorful Dumplings at Portside Wharf, Hamilton

Food okay but some issues. The waiter had virtually no English which is normally not an issue but the restaurant was open onside and flies keen to visit used plates. He could not understand requests to remove plates when we finished and even after we started stacking stuff only eventually removed those plates even after trying sign gestures. Fair enough he did not understand but when I paid I politely explained and he had zero interest. So food great but staff need training.

Highly recommend, one of the (if not) best dumpling spots in Brisbane. The xiao long bau, potstickers and chilli wontons were delicious, and the fried rice was perfectly cooked. The food was fast, and while we didn’t spot any highchairs, they brought out a plastic bowl for my toddler. Our new go to!

The best dumplings I’ve had so far—tastes homemade and definitely not the typical frozen kind! We also tried the chicken curry with rice, which was simple yet full of flavour. The stir-fried green beans were perfectly cooked—crunchy—though a bit salty for my taste, but nothing a side of steamed rice couldn’t fix. The edamame was also spot on. Overall, great food and even better service—staff were super friendly and welcoming. Definitely coming back!

We had a nice meal at Portside Dumplings. The crispy shallot pancake, pork and wombok potstickers, and pork buns were all delicious. The beef and celery dumplings (both potstickers and steamed) weren’t our favourite, especially compared to other beef dumplings we’ve had in Brisbane - the celery didn’t add the best flavour or texture. It was also a bit disappointing that chilli oil and sriracha cost extra and aren’t available at the table, and there wasn’t much variety in dumplings served with sauces. Overall, not bad — some hits and some misses. The staff were friendly and I would come back.

The best dumplings I've ever had outside of Asia. Home-made, super delicious and full of flavour. Reasonably priced and the chilli-sauce is great.

This place is pretty new, I could smell the aromas from outside so had to give it a go. I’m so glad I did! The spring rolls were some of the best I have ever had and everything was delicious. The staff are super friendly and helpful too! It was really empty whilst I was there but I think they deserve more business; I got a fair bit of food, smashed it all and it was under $50 so definitely coming back Keep up the good work!

Scrumptious, authentic flavours and friendly service. The pork belly is a joy to eat.

The best dumplings in brisbane! I have been lucky enough to eat these quality hand made dumplings at a previous restaurant this team use to own And now I have found them again!we are so happy! Pan fried are my go to and a crystal cucumber salad is delicious served with a cold beer! We will be making this dumpling bar our new regular spot!
